Description

Even though the show was cancelled ... here the Leverage Gang is reunited: The Hacker, The Thief, The Mastermind (a.k.a. The Brain), The Hitter and The Grifter.

Three friends of mine helped me cutting the fabric for the dolls, knitting Hardison's scarf, crocheting Eliot Spencer's hat, forming accessories for Sophie and so on.
It was a lot of work, but fun to develop these little creatures.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for loving, adoring and longing for these little creatures. I was blushing when my friends Tina and Nic told me about the attention it created on facebook today (June 9, 2013). Caro, who also helped us, will surely be as excited as we were, when we tell her about it.

As some of you already guessed it, they are not for sale. Sorry!

We have given the dolls shown in the picture to the actors portraing the Eliot, Parker, Hardison, Nate and Sophie during a convention in London. And I won’t copy them, because it takes too much away from my free time to do one. Everything is sewed, stitched, crocheted or knitted by hand. I love to make a doll once in a while for a close friend. And they are already lining up for their turn. ;-)

But if you know how to use a needle or if you know someone who does, here is how you start:

1. The basic doll pattern is from BabyStarLondon: www.members.shaw.ca/plushie/pa… The link leads you to the pattern and a very helpful step-by-step tutorial.

BabyStarLondon's account has been inactivated, but a very similar pattern can be found here:
- Part 1: ashfantastic.deviantart.com/ar…
- Part 2: ashfantastic.deviantart.com/ar…
- Tutorial for the head: ashfantastic.deviantart.com/ar…

2. I cut part 4 (the side of the face) into two parts. The upper part is used for cutting out the hair and the lower part is used used for skin coloured fabric and the place for the ears in my dolls.

3. I invented my own form of ears and stitched them on the side pieces: The form of one half of a heart (but less pointy at the bottom) will do it.

4. Buy fabric and start sewing as shown in the tutorial for the head.

5. The front of the body is piece #6 and the back side consists of 2x piece #7 und 1x piece #8.

I usually use fleece for the body, fake fur for the hair and synthetical cotton/wadding for filling of the doll, but the filling of an old or cheap pillow will do so just fine. The clothes of a doll are made out of old jeans, shirts, sweaters and so on.

The clothes are a separate story. I change them with every doll according to the fabric and the tight or not so tight filling of the doll. The measurement of a dolls waist changes with the amount of its stuffing. So there is no perfect pattern and I often don't keep them afterwards. ... But when I create a shirt, dress or jacket, I usually start with the basic doll pattern and draw lines where I think e.g. the arms of a shirt would end.

Please check my tutorial/pattern for a doll’s jacket to understand what I mean: frazd.deviantart.com/art/Jared…. And please keep in mind that if you do not use stretchy material that you need a slightly larger pattern for the clothes than for the body of the doll.

I cannot think of anymore helpful tips to get you started. Feel free to ask.

And thank you - once more - for loving and wanting these dolls.

I saw this series once!  It looked quite interesting!
